The boat ride from there to the Inn is about 50 minutes. The flight from San José to Drake Bay Airport is about 50 minutes by plane. From there to the Inn are a15-minute taxi and a 2 to 3-minute boat ride.

Situated on a high bluff overlooking the mouth of the River Agujitas, this eco-friendly hotel offers amazing views of Drake Bay. It is only far from Corcovado National Park and Caño Island Marine Reserve. The rooms are hardly visible from a distance. Guests must be prepared for a steep climb to their rooms, which are nestled into the hillside. Still, the private veranda views of Drake Bay and the ocean beyond are worth the effort. The lush grounds are covered with heliconia, hibiscus, and palms. A well-maintained cement trail connects the rooms with the hotel’s restaurant/office area, which during the evening hours is well-lit to ensure safe passage to and from guest rooms.

All rooms at Aguila de Osa are open and spacious and have hardwood floors, cathedral-style ceilings, large Italian tiled bathrooms, and a private terrace. They are equipped with ceiling fans, large mesh windows, 24-hour electricity, drinkable well water that is UV treated with a micro-filtered system, and a minibar. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant area of the hotel.
