Punta Islita Hotel is located 10 km/6miles south of Carrillo Beach on the North Pacific Coast, about 241kms/149mile from San Jose (around a 4 hour and 20min drive). The hotel rests on a small hill overlooking the ocean; the beach is located about 800 meters/ 2700 feet downhill from the hotel. Alternatively, 45-minute regular local flights and private air transfers are available from San José.
A very fine hotel, Punta Islita is one of the “Small Luxury Hotels of the World.” It is located within a genuine “hacienda” (ranch). The views offered from the hotel’s main building are spectacular.
The hotel features one formal restaurant: “1492”, offering international cuisine; a beach club, “El Borrancho,” with a swimming pool and a snack bar, which serves snacks and cocktails during the daytime. This restaurant can prepare vegetarian meals for guests at the 1492 restaurant, but staff must be notified beforehand. Additionally, it features Casa Spa, where guests can find a generous selection of treatments and nature-kissed products to promote the glow of pampered wellness. The hotel has beach access, hiking trails, gardens, and a private landing strip. Also, it offers private air transfers and ground transportation from the airstrip to the hotel (about 20 minutes away).
