Day 1: San Jose/Alajuela
Arrival at Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose (SJO). Meet & Greet outside the airport terminal and transfer to the hotel. 🛏️ Overnight at Xandari
Day 2: Alajuela – Bajos del Toro
🍴 Breakfast Depart for the cloud forest of Bajos del Toro, which is nestled in between the Poas Volcano and the mountains of Juan Castro Blanco National Park. On the way, you’ll visit the town of Sarchi, where you’ll get a taste of the best of Costa Rica’s artisans and the chance to learn about the traditional oxcart kaleidoscope painting that you’ll see around the country. 🛏️ Overnight at El Silencio Lodge
Day 3: Bajos del Toro
🍴 Breakfast After breakfast, go on a guided visit to Los Bajos del Toro town where a rural community thrives, maintaining rich traditions in a picturesque location. Visit Doña Olga’s home where she’ll teach you to palm fresh tortillas. Afternoon at leisure to explore the mysteries of the surrounding cloud forest and enjoy the hotel facilities which include a tranquil yoga deck set amongst the trees or your own suite’s private deck, open to the forest. 🛏️ Overnight at El Silencio Lodge
Day 4: Bajos del Toro – Arenal
🍴 Breakfast Transfer to La Fortuna where the Arenal Volcano is located. You will spend two wonderful days at the secluded adult-only Nayara Springs. The rest of the day is for your leisure to rest and to enjoy the hotel facilities, which include your own private plunge pool fed by natural mineral hot springs, walking paths, and tropical gardens. 🛏️ Overnight at Nayara Springs
Day 5: Arenal
🍴 Breakfast Start the day off with a hike through a charming private park in the middle of the rainforest. Your guide will accompany you along the paths, pointing out wildlife, showing you vibrantly colored tropical flowers, and telling you about the natural history of the jungle. You’ll find hanging bridges throughout the park, which will give you unique views of the forest canopy and the volcano beyond. The afternoon is at your leisure at the hotel, where you stroll around the gardens, look for sloths on the nature trail, or simply relax by the pool. 🛏️ Overnight at Nayara Springs
Day 6: Arenal – Santa Teresa
🍴 Breakfast Travel to beautiful Santa Teresa beach on the far side of the Nicoya Peninsula, which includes a Ferry trip. After another stretch of road, you’ll arrive at Hotel Nantipa, a romantic haven tucked into the tropical jungle overlooking the roaring surf of Santa Teresa Beach. Days 7 and 8: Santa Teresa
🍴 Breakfast The Santa Teresa region offers an intriguing variety of activities, both within the resort and around the nearby town, including surfing the renowned waves, hiking or horseback riding, ziplining, snorkeling and scuba diving, kite surfing, stand-up paddle, or boat cruises. You can also choose to visit one of the nearby national parks and wildlife reserves for a deep dive into pure nature. Day 9: Santa Teresa – Alajuela
🍴 Breakfast We’ll take you to the local airstrip for a short flight back towards San Jose. Upon arrival, transfer to Peace Lodge, located at La Paz Waterfall Gardens. You’ll have free access to the hiking trails, waterfall loop, trout lake, and animal sanctuary. 🛏️ Overnight at Peace Lodge
Day 10: Departure transfer
