Celeste Mountain Lodge is an eco-lodge that is perched on the edge of the valley, with incredible views of the Tenorio Volcano stretching across the horizon. This eclectic lodge is located around 30 minutes from the Tenorio Volcano National Park and is the perfect place to relax between hikes.
The lodge consists of two floors of accommodations and a common area. The first floor of the common area has a small lounge, indoor garden, and cozy reading area, while upstairs is the lodge restaurant. The restaurant makes healthy, hearty Costa Rican-Fusion cuisine that includes all local staples. Across the street from the hotel is a private trail through the forest, where guests can try to spot even more birds and wildlife.
The lodge is also extremely focused on sustainability, adhering to the “reduce, reuse, recycle” philosophy. In addition to many other sustainable characteristics, the lodge uses bio-purifiers for its wastewater, a bioclimatic clothes dryer, recycled building materials, and solar panels for hot water. Guests can enjoy a comfortable stay knowing they are creating minimal environmental impact.
This hotel is located approximately 4 hours from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (108 miles/180 km) and 1.5 hours from Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Guanacaste (56 miles/91 km).
